Triathlon Western Australia (Tri WA) has confirmed its partnership with 32Gi as the Hydration and Nutrition Sponsor for the 2013 SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton event.
Commenting on the new deal with the regional governing body, and event organiser, 32Gi’s Co-Managing Director Kristen Britz said, “With a goal of providing athletes with the best race nutrition, hydration and recovery, 32Gi has come on board to sponsor SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton. It is the premier event for triathletes around the nation and the largest Ironman 70.3 in the Asia Pacific region.”
Britz added that “32Gi plans to fuel all the SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton athletes on course with the specially formulated low Gi Endurance Energy Drink and Chews during the race, as well as aiding the athletes recovery with our Protein Recovery Drink.”
SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton is the latest inclusion to the 32Gi event calendar, which also includes sponsorship of: Albany Trek Half Triathlon, Allbarnone Triathlon Series, Bunbury Classic and WA Interclub Championships.
With local organisation by the Tri WA team, in cooperation with Ironman brand owner World Triathlon Corp (WTC), the SunSmart Busselton Festival of Triathlon comprises a series of 3 day events culminating in the SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton triathlon on Saturday 11 May 2013.
Following a rapid sell-out for the 2012 event this time last year, Tri WA confirmed last month that the 1650 individual entries for the SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton 2013 event have already reached capacity. Entries for the 2013 event opened at 20:00 local time on 24 October and were full by 25 October.
