Rolling out new MTB trends: 100,000 visitors expected for Roc d’Azur 2018

The 35th edition of the Roc d’Azur in southeastern France will celebrate mountain biking in all its forms at the François Léotard nature reserve in Fréjus on 10-14 October. Event organiser A.S.O points out that the Roc d’Azur 2018 event, mixing up racing and an extensive expo, offers ‘the ideal opportunity to discover and explore an MTB show with over 500 brands across 28,000 m².’

Key points put forward by A.S.O.:

  • The Roc d’Azur show brings over 500 brands together
  • Free entry for all attendees
  • A new terrace area focusing on tourism, bicycles and gear
  • There will be activities for everyone (exhibitions, introductory courses, Roc Star Game and more) throughout the event
  • Sponsor and exhibitor bicycles can be tested for free on the new Roc Test Camp by Canyon test track

The Roc d’Azur show will throw its doors open to an expected 100,000 visitors. In addition to 34 different race activities, attendees can discover the latest tech and products, and ‘put their fingers on the pulse of mountain biking’.

A.S.O adds, ‘They will get their hands on new saddles and drives, see the latest developments in nutrition, browse brand-new tourist guides for the area, and experience a surge of adrenaline with the wide range of activities, including the inaugural edition of the Roc Star Game – a cyclo-cross exhibition held on a special technical track and featuring the stars of MTB (Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, Steeve Chainel, etc.).

The layout of the show has been enhanced to offer a wider range of choices and ‘make sure no-one goes home without great tips and good ideas’. A new terrace area will bring together several exhibitors, helping to facilitate the flow of visitors.

The Roc Test Camp also returns with a specific platform for all product tests. Here, equipment can be pushed to the limits, with new test tracks that have been made more complex. Finally, a dedicated area for professionals, the all-new Hard Roc Café, will also promote experience sharing.
