Ian Gooding has been elected President of the Trinidad and Tobago Triathlon Association (TTTA) for 2009 – having previously been President of the association three years ago.
"Our objective this year is to get triathlon and duathlon into the primary and secondary school system and develop inter-school competitions," said Gooding. "We are also working on a developmental plan that will see our triathletes getting on the podium of major events, including the Olympics, in about eight years.
"We already had our first executive meeting last Sunday and have identified several areas of concern which we will be addressing professionally, including reactivating the TTTA website and developing a better channel of communication with all potential and present triathletes, and the media."
