British Triathlon is recruiting for a Workforce Development Coordinator to provide support to the organisation’s Workforce Development Team through the administration of the coach education, officiating and volunteering programmes. The role is based at British Triathlon’s Loughborough Head Office.
As an integral member of the team, the role holder will be responsible for all administration relating to the organisation of coach education courses, associated record keeping and maintaining the coaching database. The role also encompasses responsibility for the coordination of referee and volunteer provision to events and the referee education programme.
The role will also provide some opportunity to undertake specific project work to support the achievement of the Workforce Development Team and Sport England objectives.
Regular communication and liaison with stakeholders, such as Committee members, race organisers and officials, coaches, funding partners and other national sporting bodies, is a key element to the role.
British Triathlon is looking for a confident individual, with a passion for a career in triathlon. With a strong customer focus, the successful candidate will demonstrate a desire to contribute to the development of the sport and the initiative to identify such opportunities.
Excellent organisation, administration and communication skills are essential, whilst previous experience relating to coaching and coach education, ideally within a sports governing body, would be a distinct advantage. Candidates should also be familiar with all Microsoft Office packages and have experience of maintaining and developing websites and databases.
To apply, a completed application form and covering letter detailing interest in the role should be emailed to Sue Roberts, sueroberts@britishtriathlon.org or posted to British Triathlon’s HR Department, in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
