Apparel specialist Louis Garneau has signed up triathlete Chris Legh to ride and race Louis Garneau bikes, apparel, helmets and triathlon shoes for the 2009 season. Legh is a well recognised elite on the international circuit, with a career that has already notched up over 85 worldwide professional race wins. His success has included being a two-time Ironman champion, a six-time Australian National Triathlon Champion, and a holder of the world number one ranking in long course triathlons from 1999 to 2000. Legh has also secured 10 top four Ironman finishes, as well as two top-10 Hawaii Ironman World Championship finishes.
“Chris’s expertise has already been a huge contribution to Louis Garneau in the development of the Garneau triathlon and running lines, “said Louis Garneau International Marketing Manager, Pierre Perron.” Garneau is extremely pleased to support Chris. We are enthusiastic to continue our sponsorship of Chris Legh. Chris represents the ‘triathlon solution,’ a complete concept of head to toe. This concept also now extends to running apparel for training.”
“It is definitely a privilege to sign with Louis Garneau for another two years. Louis Garneau has set itself as a leader in triathlon, cycling and running and it is an honour to be considered a contributor to their world class innovation,” said Legh.
In addition to Garneau’s new developments in triathlon gear, Legh will be training in the new Running Collection from Louis Garneau. The Running Collection is being launched for Summer 2009. “It seemed logical for us. With such a top-notch triathlon collection, running apparel was almost necessary to keep our athletes training in the best gear,” added Perron.
Louis Garneau worked with professional triathletes to develop this new line; billed as a collection that balances fit, breathability, comfort, and performance.
