Chris ‘Macca’ McCormack has opted to race SRAM’s top-end RED componentry for the remainder of his professional career. This latest product tie-up follows McCormack’s decision to ink deals with Speedplay Pedals and with Zipp Wheels in November 2008.
The eleven-time Ironman winner and two-time World Champion said it was one of the easiest equipment choices he’s ever made. With his stated goal of reclaiming his Ironman title, McCormack is clearly aligning himself with companies that can focus his "performance improvement".
"I’ve made the decision to align myself with companies who are performance driven. SRAM was an obvious choice. We share the same goals and mindset, it’s a perfect synergy: fast, lightweight, and comfortable componentry. What more can I ask for?"
