Ironman World Champion, Craig Alexander (aka Crowie), released his own iPhone app just one week before defending his crown at the iconic Ironman Hawaii event.
The Ironman legend known as Crowie, is allowing fans to get inside access to his private life through the free iPhone app concept called BACKSTAGE. Athletes, celebrities, or high-profile personalities can customize their own BACKSTAGE iPhone apps and post behind the scenes videos, photos, and thoughts seamlessly from their mobile phones.
The BACKSTAGE: Crowie app takes full advantage of the new iPhone 3G hardware such as the remarkably clear video camera. “This is like twitter meets reality TV,” said Franko Vatterott of the Human Interest Group, Alexander’s management company that conceptualized BACKSTAGE.
“Crowie can capture spur of the moment thoughts so easily with his iPhone. I’m talking about things like his training secrets and race preparation footage balanced with moments with his young family of four travelling around the world with him….this is fabulous content!”
