Following the June opening of Giant’s first UK ‘Bike Beat’ store in Liverpool, a second store has been launched in Cambridge.
Whereas the Liverpool outlet is being run as an independent co-operative, and branded as Giant Bike Beat, the Cambridge store, known as ‘Giant Cambridge’, is being run in partnership with local bike retailer Station Cycles.
Ian Beasant, Managing Director of Giant UK said, "Cambridge is a unique cycling city: a city well and truly ready for a brand store." Two further stores are planned for launch before the end of 2009. The next store is understood to be unveiled during August.
