The two-weekend Pipti-Pipti Triathlon and Duathlon take place on 22 March 2009 at the Carmen Breeze Resort in Loyang, Carmen, and on 29 March in Danao City. The events are being organised by Sugbu Triathlon in cooperation with the Danao City Sports Commission.

The Pipti-Pipti Triathlon is composed of a 300 metre swim, a 15 kilometre bike ride and a 3 kilometre run. The duathlon will be a 3 km run, a 15 km bike and a 3 km run and will have the men’s, women’s and executive categories.

On 8 April a ‘grander’ series of races is to be held on Bantayan Island (sometimes referred to as Cebu’s little Island Paradise) as the Island Sportscapade series, also organised by Sugbu Triathlon. Between 8 April and 12 April, races will be held every day.

Then, on 26 April, Mayor Ricky Ramirez and the Municipality of Medellin, Cebu, in coordination with Sugbu Triathlon present the Medellin Fiesta Triathlon.
