UK industry journal, Marketing, has unveiled the inaugural Marketing Industry Triathlon. Marketing has teamed up with The Contact Group, Human Race and the Marketing Communication Consultants Association (MCCA) to present the UK marketing industry’s first triathlon. The event will take place on Dorney Lake, Eton, on 10 July 2009.
The event has begun accepting entries for those in the marketing, publishing, advertising, public relations and media industries.
A choice of four races are on offer:
Super Sprint (400m swim / 15km cycle / 4km run)
Sprint (750m swim / 20km bike / 5km run)
Full (1500m swim / 40km bike / 10km run)
Relay Team Triathlon (1500m / 40km bike / 10km run)
In the months leading up to July, marketers and industry professionals can keep up to speed with the latest event news through Marketing’s sports blog (Ed Kemp on Sport Marketing) which will also include general triathlon tips and hints, including wetsuit and bike hire and training information.
