As the Arab Triathlon Confederation (ATC) met in Cairo to bolster the role of triathlon in the Middle East, the inaugural Abu Dhabi International Triathlon has announced a chance to its bike course. In recent days, the Abu Dhabi race organisers stated that:
‘Further to the final police meetings regarding the bicycle section for the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon and having been notified of the arrival and subsequent security impact of an International Delegation, the bicycle section has been amended.
The organisers remain confident however that the new routing will continue to deliver a premium triathlon experience for all competitors in Abu Dhabi.
