Dorel Industries’ business unit, Cycling Sports Group (CSG), is expanding distribution across Asia Pacific as part of a drive for CSG brands such as Cannondale, GT and Schwinn in the region.
Four new distributors and growing relationships with three existing distributors have already bolstered the company’s position in Asia Pacific. According to CSG, 2009 year on year sales for Cannondale were up 12% across the region, and the company is clearly planning further gains in 2010.
"We are very excited to have these new distributors on board and we are confident they will do well in the years to come," said Edward Vlutters, Director of CSG International Sales Asia Pacific. "This is the start of new partnerships and strengthening existing partnerships. In the future, this will be the main focus within our growth plans for the Asia Pacific region."
New distributors for GT include: CMGTS Co. Ltd (Mongolia), PT Wijaya Indonesia Makmur Bicycle Industries (WIM CYCLE) and Wun Pang Bicycle Company (Hong Kong).
Schwinn is now distributed by CMGTS (Mongolia), Flying Ball (Hong Kong) and Muragappa Group’s Ti Cycles (India). CMGTS will also carry the Cannondale brand going forwards.
