According to Reuters, Giant Manufacturing is channelling new investments into its operating businesses in China.
The Taiwanese biking giant is arranging for its local subsidiary, a Mainland China-based investment company, to respectively invest US$1 million to set up a Jiangsu-based subsidiary and a Kunshan-based subsidiary, both in Mainland China.
Earlier in 2010, Giant unveiled its initial US$36 million investment into its latest bicycle plant in eastern China – located in Kunshan city. It appears that the focus of the plant will be on bicycle and electric car manufacturing. Although, the new Kunshan site will also produce bicycle frames and carbon fibre.
