Just 100 general entry places remain for the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship, with competitors from all corners of the globe set to take part on Sunday 5 December in Laguna Phuket, Thailand.
Anyone can register for the Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship, with two options available to take part – the ‘Open’ and ‘Championship’ divisions. All confirmed competitors are entered by default into the ‘Open’ division. Although, it is worth noting that the ‘Open’ division does not have age-group awards or 2011 Ironman World Championship 70.3 qualification slots.
To race in the ‘Championship’ division and be eligible for age-group awards and Ironman World Championship 70.3 qualification slots, competitors must register and then email AsiaPacific70.3@ironman.com and confirm a 2010 Ironman 70.3 event in which you finished in the top 50% of the age group. This transfer from ‘Open’ to ‘Championship’ is free-of-charge.
In addition, there is an opportunity for relay teams from around the world to take part on race day.The relay teams division is non-Championship and requires no qualification. Again, entry places are limited.
The event takes place at the beautiful Laguna Phuket Resort in Thailand, and triathletes can run in partnership with the famous Laguna Phuket Triathlon, held one weekend before.
