TYR signs USA triathlete Sarah Haskins

Working to promote and support some of the best athletes in triathlon, TYR has confirmed a multi-year partnership with USA elite Sarah Haskins. An Olympian and reigning Toyota Series Champion, Haskins is a proven performer who will bring experience and enthusiasm to TYR’s growing team of professional triathletes.

Haskins joins the growing roster of female triathletes sponsored by TYR, including reigning Ironman World Champion, Chrissie Wellington – plus elite females such as Desiree Ficker, Becky Lavelle, Joanna Lawn and Magali Tisseyre. TYR’s male sponsored triathletes include Andy Potts and TJ Tollakson.

“We at TYR are very pleased to welcome Sarah to our team of athletes,” said TYR National Manager of Sales and Multisport. “We feel Sarah is a great addition and we look forward to working with her to help her accomplish her triathlon goals.”

Haskins has partnered with TYR to compete in the company’s full line of triathlon apparel, swimwear, accessories and TYR’s debut wetsuit scheduled to hit the market on 25 February – the Hurricane.

“TYR has been very innovative in creating fast, comfortable, top-of-the-line products and I can’t wait to get to the starting line in them to represent!” Haskins noted.

Spending the majority of her time training in the high altitude of Colorado Springs, 28 year old Haskins has steadily added a multitude of accolades to her resume. Placing in the top two at four of the 2009 Lifetime Fitness Triathlon Series to take the overall title, she now looks ahead to representing TYR in her flourishing career.

“Having been a professional athlete for five years now, I know how important it is to be working with a company who supports their athletes to race at their best,” Haskins shared. “TYR is a title sponsor of many major triathlons around the country, including the Lifetime Fitness: Race to the Toyota Cup Series. I have raced in this series for the past two years and look forward to personally representing TYR while racing in this series and defending my title for 2010.”
