Amer Sports repurchases its own shares

The board of directors at sporting goods giant Amer Sports, which owns brands such as Mavic and Suunto, has decided to repurchase Amer Sports shares. This follows the authorisation given by the company’s Annual General Meeting held on 10 March 2010.

The company will acquire its own shares in order to implement share-based incentive plans for 2011 and 2012 for the group’s key personnel. The repurchases will start at the earliest on 23 February 2011 and end on 9 September 2011 at the latest.

The amount to be acquired is a maximum of 1 million shares.

The shares shall be repurchased (at the prevailing market price at the time of acquisition) and paid for in accordance with the rules of NASDAQ OMX Helsinki and Euroclear Finland Ltd.
