Cycling Sports Group and SRAM strengthen bond

Dorel Industries’ division, Cycling Sports Group (CSG) is bolstering its partnership with SRAM. The extended relationship and cooperation will result in increased product integration with CSG’s Cannondale, GT, Schwinn and Mongoose brands.

In addition, both companies will increase activity at racing events and integrated demos across the globe. SRAM will also be incorporated into the 2011 Liquigas-Cannondale team bikes, helping to drive the riders through their pro cycling race season.

“We have been supporters of SRAM for a long time and many of their products have been specified on our bikes for years,” said Jeff McGuane, President of Cycling Sports Group North America.

“SRAM innovations and advocacy have helped improve the cycling industry for more than two decades and we are honoured to partner with them. We are both passionate about fostering cycling and are confident that together, we can work to grow the sport in a positive direction.”

CSG and SRAM will combine all aspects of the various component products from start to finish and will include sourcing and product development, along with brand and team marketing.

“We are thrilled to work with Cycling Sports Group because they share our passion for cycling and the sport,” added David Zimberoff, SRAM’s Global Marketing Director.

“The CSG brands share this same commitment to excellence and innovation, which will make for an excellent partnership.”

Coming from humble beginnings, both CSG and SRAM are now selling products ridden by cyclists across the world, from urban commuters to world class athletes, such as the Liquigas-Cannondale Pro Cycling Team.
