The retailer has appointed USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach Gail Leveque as its Tuscon Training Destination Specialist. The new role involves Gail effectively acting as a ‘Triathlon Concierge’, helping the many multisport athletes who visit Tucson get the most out of their coaching, vacation, racing or business trip in the Arizona area.
With more than 9 years of multisport coaching experience, Gail is also the founder of Gorilla Multisport Coaching. She has a close relationship with the team at TriSports.com, having been a sponsored athlete for more than 8 years.
Having coached athletes full time for the last 5 years, Gail is embracing the challenges offered by the new role. “TriSports.com is a truly innovative business. They like to try new things, and this new role helps us offer the best possible training vacation – whether it’s for a coaching trip, an informal group of training partners or an individual. Even better, it’s a free service to all who visit!”
Offering almost 500 miles of dedicated bike lanes, a mild climate with more than 350 days of sunshine and an extensive network of trails spreading throughout the four surrounding mountain ranges, Tucson is able to meet the training needs of recreational through professional athletes.
As a dedicated triathlon concierge resource, Gail can draw upon her training and coaching experiences. The free service helps provide a good feeling for consumers, both about TriSports.com and about Tucson.
Gail is also working with the Tucson Metropolitan Visitors and Convention Bureau to help leverage the international reputation of the area.
“When they go home, they feel good about TriSports.com. For those who drop in, we offer a tour of the store if wanted, and help out with information on the most athlete-friendly lodgings, pool times, run trails or bike routes.

“What’s really staggering is the international make-up of athletes. We see many Canadians, Europeans and a full range of nationalities looking to train in Tucson.
