Endura has appointed Katrin Engel, 35, as its Marketing Coordinator with immediate effect. Based at the company’s headquarters in Livingston, Scotland, she will coordinate Endura’s marketing activities in the UK.
The native German will be in charge of PR, advertising booking and events organisation from a PR perspective. Katrin will also concentrate on marketing measures around the Endura Racing team and the associated Endura ‘Equipe’ premium road apparel brand.
Engel brings several years of experience in the sports industry to Endura. In her position as PR Coordinator for the Agency inMotion mar.com, the outdoor enthusiast was responsible for the European PR for SUGOI Performance Apparel and also provided PR services for the agency’s clients DAHON (folding bikes), MET Bicycle Helmets, and Hirzl AG (cycling gloves).
Having moved from Germany to the UK, Katrin then took on the position of PR Manager for the UK and Ireland for running shoe company Somnio.
“Our company has experienced huge growth over the last couple of years, and therefore we are now at the point where we need somebody to coordinate our various marketing activities, from the many events that we participate in and the extensive racing calendar of the Endura Racing Team to media requests and advertising,” said Endura founder and Managing Director Jim McFarlane.
“With her PR background and experience in the bike industry, Katrin will be a huge help and we are happy to have her on board.”
