HITS price-cut on full distance triathlons

HITS Inc has announced that the HITS Triathlon Series, the first race series to feature five distances at each event, with events taking place at unique destinations all year long, has reduced the entry fee of its full distance triathlon from US$600 to US$475. The new low price is available up to 45 days before each HITS series full distance event, at which time the price increases to US$500.

The first HITS Triathlon Series event kicks off in Palm Springs, on 3-4 December 2011, providing an opportunity for triathletes to race during the winter months in the US. Athletes interested in participating in the full distance have until Monday 17 October 2011 to register at the reduced price of US$475.

HITS’ full distance triathlon consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run.

“The continued positive feedback from athletes has moved us to reduce the price of our full distance race,” said Tom Struzzieri, CEO of HITS Inc.

“Registrations across all our distances continue to grow and it’s clear that we have sparked some excitement and huge amounts of interest within the endurance sports community. A huge part of being successful at event management is listening to comments from athletes. We want to be known as the tri company that listens to its customers.”

With 12 events around the US, high-end amenities and this newly reduced price, HITS triathlons are being positioned as ‘the best and most affordable way to take on the challenge of a full distance triathlon.’
