Competitor Group Inc (CGI), the leading media and event company in the endurance sports industry, has announced that Jennifer Purdie has been appointed as senior editor of Inside Triathlon.
Both a veteran journalist and active endurance sports athlete, Purdie will develop and manage editorial content and photography for the premier publication in triathlon.
“Competitor Group remains committed to being a home for top talent and Jennifer’s experience certainly speaks for itself. Her depth of knowledge makes her a natural addition to the brilliant team of writers, photographers and editors on staff,” said Andrew Hersam, Executive Vice-President of Media at CGI.
“The quality of our publication is a reflection of the incredible people behind it, and her contributions will be a prominent element in our success.”
Purdie has been featured on Fox Sports News and in publications such as Scottsdale Health Magazine and Fitness Business News discussing running and training. She has written for a variety of publications, including Running Times, Phoenix Magazine, Scottsdale Magazine, the Arizona Republic, and other industry fitness publications.
Anchored in vivid photography and in-depth journalism, Inside Triathlon strives to tell stories from the depths of triathlon that can’t be found anywhere else. The bi-monthly publication gives readers an insider look at the best in multisport, from the pro athletes who inspire them, to the places, technology and controversies that shape triathlon today.
“It’s truly a privilege to write about my passion,” said Purdie.
“Inside Tri goes beyond the usual storyline to uncover the secrets of the sport and provide coverage that’s truly unique. I’m excited to be a part of something so special and look forward to delivering a brand of magazine that triathlon aficionados covet.”
