Open time for 2011 Amica 19.7 Boston and Amica 19.7 Phoenix sprint triathlons

Eident Sports Marketing has confirmed that the dates have been set and registration is now open for the 2011 Amica 19.7 Boston and the Amica 19.7 Phoenix sprint triathlons.

The Amica 19.7 Boston will be held on 13 August, in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. The Amica 19.7 Phoenix will be held on 6 November at Lake Pleasant Park, Peoria, Arizona.

Both events are part of the 2011 Amica 19.7 Triathlon Series, a sprint distance series of triathlons held throughout the US. They feature a half-mile swim, a 16.1-mile bike ride and a 3-mile run. (The Amica 19.7 Phoenix will also include an international distance triathlon that is comprised of a 1.5K swim, a 34K bike ride and a 10K run.)

The Amica Triathlon Series is currently offering discounted registration for the 2011 Amica 19.7 Boston and the Amica 19.7 Phoenix through to 31 January.

Eident Sports has planned a few exciting changes for triathletes who compete in the Amica 19.7 Boston. It will be held at a new venue, Hopkinton State Park. Located in the Greater Boston area, the park boasts the picturesque Hopkinton Reservoir.

"Hopkinton State Park is a beautiful venue and a perfect site to host the Amica 19.7 Boston,” said Race Director Brewer Rowe. “The park allows us to provide a safe, secure course for the participating triathletes."

The 2011 Amica 19.7 Series will culminate in the autumn/fall with Amica 19.7 Phoenix. This event will feature three divisions – pros, qualifiers and age groupers. The pros will be competing for a US$10,000 prize.
