Leading US multisport retailer TriSports.com has entered into a partnership with Orbea USA to be one of only four online dealers carrying Orbea’s full lines of road, tri and mountain bikes. All bikes will also be available at the main TriSports.com retail location in Tucson, and any future TriSports.com stores.
According to TriSports.com, the Internet is quickly becoming the first place consumers go to make their purchases, large and small, and TriSports.com is excited that Orbea USA understands and is now embracing this trend.
Orbea’s selection of TriSports.com was, in large part, due to the already large web presence TriSports.com has in the triathlon industry and its understanding of how to market online and give the customer a great experience. Tony Karklins, Managing Director of Orbea USA, said “Orbea is honoured to be working with TriSports.com as one of our exclusive online partners. We view TriSports.com not only as a global leader in triathlon product sales, but as one of the nation’s most premium IBDs. This is a perfect fit for Orbea.”
TriSports.com has already started receiving Orbea bicycles. Company founder Seton Claggett said, “While some of the bigger bicycle manufacturers are unable to determine if the Internet is coming or going, Orbea is on the forefront of reality. We are very sensitive to the IBD model since we have a retail location and we also know that you need to close the loop with the consumer by having a strong web presence.”
Orbea will also be partnering with TriSports.com on its cycling team and club, TriSports Cycling/Eclipse Racing. The CAT 1/2 riders will all be on Orbea Bicycles, and the entire club will be encouraged to take advantage of the partnership to upgrade to Orbea.

TriSports Cycling/Eclipse Racing was founded in Tucson 11 years ago and currently has 16 supported CAT 1/2 riders and over 140 club members. The team, currently ranked as number two in Arizona, holds 8 State Championship titles, 94 podium wins and 211 top 10 results.
