PR*Bar, the Official Performance Nutrition Bar of the US Olympic and Paralympic Teams, has returned to its Ironman roots, as current Ironman World Champion Mirinda Carfrae’s official performance nutrition bar partner. PR*Bar has a long history with triathletes and the Ironman event, and the return to Kona in 2011 is reflective of the brand’s resurgence in the elite athletics market.
In 1995, PR*Bar was the first protein-based performance nutrition bar on the market that helped fuel Mark Allen to his sixth Ironman World Championship. This year, PR*Bar is back with six new flavours and 3 new granola bars to fuel the dreams of triathletes around the globe.

The new gluten-free flavours, ‘developed based on customer feedback and requests’, are Chocolate Mint and Apple Pie, and a new gluten-free Granola line that includes Peanut Butter Granola, Oatmeal Raisin Granola and Peanut Butter Berry Granola. The new bars will join the legendary PR*Bar team of gluten-free flavours, which includes Chocolate Peanut, Iced Brownie, Double Chocolate and Yogurt Berry.
PR*Bar was recently named the Official Performance Nutrition Bar of the US Olympic and Paralympic Teams. A portion of the proceeds of the sales of the line of Team USA performance nutrition bars will support the training of US Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls, and the agreement runs through to June 2017. PR*Bar’s line of Team USA performance nutrition bars will be available at retail in 2011.
