ROTOR-Cervélo Beyond the Peloton

Spanish cycling component specialist ROTOR Bike Components, is presenting its second ROTOR-Cervélo Beyond the Peloton episode, showcasing the technical feedback between ROTOR and the Garmin-Cervélo pro cycling team as well the personal experiences of the riders themselves using ROTOR products. The first episode from ROTOR had more than 100,000 views.

“The BTP (Beyond the Peloton) documentaries show the human side of both riders and team,” said Ignacio Estellés, CEO of ROTOR. “There are several ways to show how the daily work with the team is, but this is the only one that helps to make the viewer feel as if they were a part of the team, suffering with the riders and taking part in the product testing like an engineer. Thanks to this episode, you feel like a ROTOR member working to win on the best races around the world.”

Q-Rings are again the main focal point of this video in which ROTOR goes beyond the ‘dead spot’ issue, with Johan Van Summeren explaining how the OCP System was a key for success in achieving the full potential from the Q-Rings technology.

The healthcare and sports injury side of Q-Rings is shown with a focus on Heinrich Haussler and his recovery program following a nasty fall that caused knee damage in 2010. All this is set on the stage of the Queen of the Classics, the Paris Roubaix.

The 30mm axle 3D+ crank is also featured, as the most recently developed product with the Garmin-Cervélo team, which ROTOR launched commercially in the spring of 2011.
