Ryders Eyewear celebrates ‘25 Totally Bitchin’ Years’

Based in the adrenaline sport mecca of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Ryders Eyewear, the ‘premier manufacturer of high-performance and affordable eyewear’, has announced two unique events to take place at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, Utah, highlighting the brand’s 25th anniversary.

On Thursday 4 August, world-famous ultra runner Karl Meltzer will be signing autographs at Ryders’ booth #34615. All existing and prospective dealers are encouraged to stop by to chat with ‘Speedgoat Karl’ from 2-4pm, or until happy hour starts: because runners drink beer, too!

On Friday 5 August, the Ryders booth will be getting loud with an 80s retro party from 3:45-5:45. The theme of the party, ‘Totally Bitchin Since 1986’ is a fitting choice for a company born in the era of neon and mullet hairstyles. Party-goers will be able to enjoy birthday cake and microbrews while they check out the new eyewear styles that will be on display.

The 25th anniversary year has been a busy one for Ryders Eyewear. After a 5-year hiatus, the company’s founder and first Canadian Mountain Bike Champion, Brent Martin, returned to the executive team, inspiring a rejuvenated focus on the brand’s roots. This momentum helped the business navigate a massive rebrand, including the launch of a new logo, website and e-commerce site earlier this year.

In a few short months, over 25 new styles have been introduced to the market, while retro bike races and sponsored events have filled Ryders’ calendar.
