British Cycling, the internationally recognised governing body for cycling in the UK, is seeking a Software Developer to work within the organisation’s IT Team and help drive forward the on-going projects of developing the organisation’s websites, internal databases and systems.

The organisation’s growing IT Team is an important part of the Corporate Services department within British Cycling, which also comprises Finance, Human Resources, Compliance, and Legal & Insurance. Reporting to the IT Manager, the successful applicant will be working on the extended development of the corporate British Cycling websites, as well as a large intranet project and maintenance of legacy databases and reporting tools.
The Software Developer should have strong commercial experience of website/applications development and web technologies using PHP5(OOP), MySQL, XHTML, CSS, Javascript/jQuery, Ajax, XML, SOAP and web services. It would be advantageous to have experience using Zend or other MVC frameworks. Strong software development experience is required, and use of Linux is desirable.
