In spring 2012, SUGOI is presenting a brand new collection of triathlon apparel. Featuring new fabrics, new fit and new designs, the new collection is ‘designed to work with a triathlete’s body, when everything else is working against it.’ The highlight of the spring 2012 tri range is the performance RS Collection – which, according to Sugoi, is strong on technical detail and sharp on good looks.
RS Collection
The RS Tri Suit features a contoured cut. Along with smart seams to increase movement and reduce abrasion, and mesh inserts for added ventilation, this suit packs an innovative compression leg band finish, for a secure and comfortable grip.
RS Tri Suit
The RS Tri Suit features Power Mesh and Revo fabrics. New to Sugoi, Revo is a unique construction designed to reduce surface friction and improve performance in multisport applications. The nylon spandex blend allows for powerful stretch and recovery while resisting penetration and drag in the water. Power Mesh ‘takes stretch mesh performance to a new level of support and compression, using a unique PowerNet warp knit construction.’ Power Mesh also claims to offer good ventilation and a durable wicking finish.

Also part of the RS Collection is the RS Tri Short as well as the RS Tri Tank, featuring a high neckline and smart seams. Both the Tri Suit and Short feature a new specially designed chamois.
New TriLite 2 Chamois
SUGOI’s TriLite 2 Chamois combines a moulded centre channel with a run-friendly low-profile and quick-wicking surface:
- Seamless laminated wicking knit surface layer
- Micro-ventilation in critical areas
- ‘Next to skin’ open cell foam is infused with Silver Ions for antimicrobial effect
- Moulded centre channel for pressure relief
Power Mesh
Power Mesh blends stretch mesh performance with support and compression utilizing a warp knit construction. Used extensively in Sugoi’s bra and multisport portfolio, Power Mesh also offers ventilation and a durable wicking finish.
Turbo Collection
The Turbo Tri Suit brings technical fabric and speedy features together with a sleek design. The Turbo Tri Short features unrestricted motion and moisture-wicking thanks to Matrix fabric, for performance in and out of the water. The short highlights smart and innovative designs through flat seams for increased comfort, an inside key/card pocket at the waist, and a signature grip leg elastic.
Also in the Turbo range, the Turbo Tri Tank is a ‘wind-cheating fitting contour tank with refined details and advanced fabric technologies.’ The tank contains innovative fabrics such as FinoStretch and Vector Stretch and mesh areas that sit next to the skin to provide rapid moisture uptake and disbursement for a cool, dry feel. Rounding out the collection, the Turbo Jammer is a full length race and training swim brief, built with stretch polyester performance.
