In an effort to bring more quality and custom apparel options to the hundreds of triathlon clubs that partner with race organiser Tri-California each year, Tri-California has inked a deal with Champion System as the ‘Official Jersey’ and custom technical apparel sponsor of the 2012 Tri-California Triathlon Event Series.
This new sponsorship between Tri-California Events and Champion System allows both to expand their reach in the sport of triathlon. Tri-California is dedicated to motivating individuals of all ages and fitness levels towards a healthier lifestyle, by providing training and racing opportunities in the sport of triathlon. Champion System’s goal is to provide pro-quality custom technical apparel to teams, clubs, individual athletes and events.
Champion System will become the exclusive technical apparel sponsor for the AVIA Wildflower Triathlons in Monterey County (4-6 May 2012), the San Francisco Triathlon at Alcatraz (July), The Triathlon at Pacific Grove (7-9 September) and Scott Tinley’s Triathlons in San Luis Obispo (28-30 September). Champion System will be involved on site at each event’s Health and Fitness Expo.
“Champion System is known throughout the industry for its quality and customization,” said Colleen Bousman, President of Tri-California Events, “This partnership aligns perfectly with the high quality unique events Tri-California has built its reputation on.”
“Partnering with Tri-California felt like a natural fit for us,” added Scott Kaylin, CEO of Champion System. “Our goal is to change how participants look at event merchandise and provide pro-quality custom technical apparel during registration and on site. Tri-California has a unique and passionate approach to the triathlon event industry and values the same high calibre product that we do.”
Kaylin continued, “We see this as a mutually beneficial partnership and are thrilled to embark on a successful 2012 season with Tri-California.”
In their first joint effort, Champion System and Tri-California have created a pre-sale only custom cycling jersey to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the AVIA Wildflower Triathlons. This jersey can only be purchased during the online event registration process. Since the program’s launch in September, AVIA Wildflower jersey sales have reportedly doubled.
“We couldn’t be happier with this new partnership,” said Colleen Bousman. “And we look forward to how this partnership can benefit our valued triathlon clubs in the future.”
