TriStar111 is filling the streets of the Principality of Monaco this weekend with nearly 1,000 athletes registered to enjoy the most popular TriStar race of the year. Formula 1 drivers Lucas Di Grassi, Bruno Senna and Alex Wurz, actors such as Paul Belmondo, skier Vanessa Vidal, world top class ex athlete Wilson Kipketer, plus cyclists Peter Luttenberger, Paco Wrolich, Richie Porte, Baden Cooke, Nick Gate, Bernhard Eisel and Yauheni Hutarovitch will join the race on the beautiful Côte d’Azur on Sunday 4 September.
At the start-line, there will also be a good cast of professional triathletes: Olivier Marceau, Lothar Leder, Thomas Hellriegel, Ain-Alar Juhanson, Joel Jameson, Nicole Leder, Eimear Mullan, Johanna Daumas, Catherine Jameson, Coralie Lemaire and Adeline Rausis.
On Sunday Monte Carlo will host a new edition of TriStar111 Monaco, with nearly 1,000 triathletes gathered around a fun race in one of the most glamorous and exclusive destinations of the world. After TriStar Minnesota last weekend and ahead of the forthcoming TriStar Split, the TriStar Monaco course passes through well-known locations connected with the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Monaco.
The ‘mythical’ Rascasse curve, the steep climb to Montée d’Ostende, the spectacular Tunnel du Fairmont at the start at the Port are some of the attractions of the event. TriStar111 Monaco features a 1K swim, 100K bike leg and 10K run.
The TriStar label is owned by Star Production SARL, a Monaco based company specializing in organizing high quality sports events that are focused on fun, social responsibility and environmental protection. Minnesota (USA) was the 9th destination offering a TriStar race after Nevis (SKN), Mallorca (ESP), Worms (GER), Madrid (ESP), Lyon (FRA), Otepää (EST), Monaco (MON) and Split (CRO). The TriStar Series has grown to 16 races in these 9 destinations in less than two years.
TriStar has introduced new distances to the sport of triathlon (notably 111K and 222K), as well as a new Team Racing Concept T111.
