Leading UK triathlon magazine 220 Triathlon has ‘got 2012 off to a flyer with the launch of myTri, a new interactive social media channel packed with the eight tools you need to train, race and power your way to a new PB in 2012.’
The myTri platform hosted via the main 220 Triathlon website includes a range of features:
- Find an event using the new 220 Triathlon Events Calendar, billed as ‘the most comprehensive calendar for the 2012 season’
- Set targets for this year and beyond using the myTri Goals* tool
- Create a Training Plan*, or find a plan that another member has already created
- Securely log all swim, bike and run workouts in a personalised Training Diary*; users can also manually upload activities; upload Garmin and Polar files or sync a training diary with a Nike+ account
- Plot, find and share training rides and runs using myTri’s Route Mapping tool
- Check out over 18 Analysis Graphs* to evaluate performance and current level of fitness
- Use the 220 Triathlon Leaderboards to compare performance against clubmates, race rivals and athletes from around the world
- Retain a permanent Record* of all PBs.
*Users will need to be logged in to fully access these features.
220 tri mag also notes a number of up and coming features on its development roadmap. These are scheduled to be released over the next few months:
- Routes updates – including GPX/TCX import/export; additional map sourcing (OCM); geo-location route finder; 3D video player; directions; route markers; full screen view
- Mobile App – for iPhone and android
- Community features – Facebook App; forums; comments; photos/videos; blogs; groups; friends
- Add activity updates – more external data upload syncs including Garmin Communicator, Polar Personal Trainer, Timex and Suunto. Also training data import/export features and data sync between multiple sites powered by TrainingDiaries.com software
- Events calendar updates – race results, reports and online entry
- Coach access – sharing plans, training log and performance data with a user’s nominated coach
In addition, the myTri platform will also include: a workout generator; more graphs (including graphs for other sports such as weightlifting) and performance analysis options; training diary CRM; live tracking; food journal; and international language options.
