Blending casual wear with the sleek lines of cycle apparel, the UK’s Carbonaut Clothing Company has launched with a range of unique designs to be worn out of the saddle.
Set-up to ship its apparel internationally, the small, Bristol-based company has introduced its online collection with a range of items for men and women that have been inspired by the tailored fit and technical features of a cycling jersey. Items include stylish, long-sleeved jerseys, supersoft hooded tops and a classic polo t-shirt.
With a dedication to flattering cuts and high-quality fabrics, many of the pieces in the collection feature details such as a high zipped collar, dropped tail and secure phone pocket at the rear. A carbonised finish, woven chambray trim and subtle branding set the items apart from the other casual components of a rider’s wardrobe.
Paul Skuse, Founder of Carbonaut, said “We identified that there was a real lack of casual wear options available to cyclists once off the bike. For us, being a cyclist means so much more than just riding, racing and training and we wanted to encapsulate this in the casual wear market.”

Launching online for the autumn/winter season, items such as the Café Vélo Hoody and Breakaway Jersey are positioned as being ideal for meeting friends for coffee on frosty mornings.
