Hydrapak, a leading global supplier of active-lifestyle hydration equipment, has announced the promotion of David Kim to Director of Operations & Communication. The move will enable the company to keep up with growing demand from a variety of outdoor equipment manufacturers for custom hydration solutions.
“David has shown excellent aptitude with factory communications, inventory management and logistics,” said Hydrapak President Matt Lyon, “Elevating him to the role of director will enhance our capability to provide hydration systems to brands across the outdoor industry, while meeting their unique logistic and communication goals.”
Kim will act as the primary liaison between various decision makers internally at Hydrapak, with production facilities in China, Vietnam and Taiwan, and with Hydrapak’s growing list of OEM clients and international distributors. He will also continue to manage the process and production of all marketing materials, including photography, design and production.
To further bolster the company’s hydration expertise in the development of new products and meet the increasing demand for custom hydration systems, Hydrapak has also hired Junior Engineer Georgiy ‘George’ Patrikeyev ‘to ensure these opportunities are fully realized.’
Patrikeyev, an avid mountain biker hailing from Santa Cruz, holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from UC Berkeley and will work closely with Hydrapak’s Director of Engineering & Product Development Sam Lopez to develop innovative solutions for Hydrapak’s OEM partners.
Established in 2001, Hydrapak creates innovative and advanced hands-free fluid delivery systems, and ‘was introduced to satisfy the growing demand from athletes for personal hydration systems.’ Hydrapak produces a line-up of custom built hydration backpacks, reservoirs and bottles for a variety of sports, including biking, hiking and running.
Hydrapak is also an OEM for a number of leading manufacturers specializing in hydration solutions for consumers, and commercial and military applications.
