Ridley Bikes, the Belgian bike brand produced by NV Race Productions has been recognised for its innovation. The company has been awarded the title of ‘most innovative company in Flanders’ by the local business and innovation event Werken 3.0 (or Work 3.0).
The award selections were made by respected Dutch Professor Henk Volberda of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, and were made via verification of financial data and a series of questions during an initial research process.
“Ridley Bikes pays great attention to research and development and does a lot of open innovation through collaborative projects,” explained Ingrid Walry, founder of Werken 3.0. According to Walry, another key factor in granting the award were the qualities of Ridley owner and CEO Joachim Aerts.
Walry noted that Aerts is passionate about his business and that “he can stretch and get the best from his people.”
