Challenge Family CEO Felix Walchshöfer joins keynote speaker list at TBI Global Conference

Triathlon Business International (TBI), the world’s leading organization dedicated to promoting the sport and business of triathlon, has confirmed the addition of Challenge Family CEO Felix Walchshöfer to the ensemble of keynote speakers for its inaugural international conference ‘The Growth & Globalization of Triathlon’, on 10-12 September 2013 at the Hilton London Metropole in London, UK.

Walchshöfer brings the final list of keynote speakers to seven and joins a stellar group of experts who are triathlon storytellers, fact-finders and shapers-of-the-sport on an international level, and who will provide practical, functional and motivational information through multiple general sessions, panel discussions, topical breakout sessions and case studies.

The seven keynote speakers are:

  • Chrissie Wellington, British triathlete and four-time Ironman World Champion
  • Humphrey Cobbold, CEO at Wiggle, the UK-based online retailer of cycling and triathlon-related products; the UK’s number one online cycle shop and the UK’s 5th most popular online sports shop
  • Dr Sarah Springman, CBE, 1st Vice President, International Triathlon Union (ITU)
  • Andrew Messick, CEO, World Triathlon Corporation (Ironman)
  • Sejal Pietrzak, Senior Vice President, International, The Active Network,

This first-ever global conference targets retailers, event directors, service providers, manufacturers, industry executives and athletes who make their living in the fastest growing sport on the planet: triathlon.

The conference schedule has been coordinated with the ITU Triathlon World Championship Grand Final at Hyde Park to provide convenience without conflict for attendees and participants of both events. TBI will host a reception for conference attendees on Wednesday 11 September prior to the ITU World Championships Opening Ceremony in Trafalgar Square.

A summer registration special started on 1 June 2013. Attendees who register during this special will save £75 on a 2-day registration and £50 on a single day registration. Registration fees include all conference events and meals. A 20% discount is available when more than one person registers on the same order.
