DATEV Challenge Roth gets energy boost from Power Horse

Power Horse Energy Drink is supporting DATEV Challenge Roth – the world’s largest long distance triathlon – as an official partner. This ranks the iconic triathlon event among prestigious Power Horse partners, such as the German Bundesliga soccer team Bayer Leverkusen and the brand new German basketball champions – Brose Baskets Bamberg.

“We are absolutely convinced that triathlon is a perfect match for our Power Horse trademark,” explained Thomas Königsbauer, CEO of Power Horse Energy Drinks GmbH. “DATEV Challenge Roth goes excellently with our national and international events. The co-operation with Roth is a logical consequence of the expansion of our sponsoring activities.”

Felix Walchshöfer, CEO of TEAMCHALLENGE GmbH, the company behind the Challenge Family international series of full and half distance triathlons, added “Power Horse is widely known as an innovative and reliable partner in triathlon. For this reason, I am very glad about our future co-operation.”

Pro triathletes Timo Bracht and Georg Potrebitsch will participate in the DATEV Challenge Roth event for the Power Horse Triathlon Team. Both will have to compete against a world class field of competitors and against numerous German athletes in their fight for the race win and the title of German Champion – as Roth plays host to the official Deutsche Triathlon Union (DTU) long distance championships.

Power Horse athlete engagement
At the 12th edition of the Roth event, which gets under way on Sunday 14 July, the Power Horse Triathlon Team will also be present at the Expo throughout the race weekend. On Friday 12 July, at 10:00 CET Jan Raphael will organise a training run. The next day, also at 10:00, Horst Reichel will start a one-hour bike session, which all triathletes and fans are invited to join.

And on Friday evening at 17:15 there will be a further highlight: the new Rudy Project Wing 57 time trial and triathlon helmet will be introduced in the presence of Sport1 TV presenter Hartwig Thöne, all members of the Power Horse Triathlon Team as well as international top athletes Dylan McNeice (NZL), Yvonne van Vlerken (AUT) and Sonja Tajsich (GER).

After the presentation, all athletes will be on hand to answer questions and sign autographs. On Saturday at 17:00, Hartwig Thöne and Horst Reichel will have a closer look at elite athletes’ race equipment, and give all important tips and tricks about the competition itself and the equipment needed to get athletes through the challenge.
