Immediate Media Co, the leading cross-media special interest content company, has confirmed the appointment of Helen Webster as Editor of 220 Triathlon, ‘the UK’s bestselling triathlon magazine’.
Previously Editor of Mini Magazine at Future Publishing, Helen joined Origin Publishing in 2007 as Editor of Perfect Wedding. She was promoted to Group Editor in August 2011 following the launch of Wedding Day Venues, a quarterly magazine offering readers a one-stop solution to finding the wedding venue of their dreams.
Under Helen’s editorship Perfect Wedding became the UK’s fastest growing wedding title, increasing market share by over 12%. It is now the leading A5 magazine in the market.
Commenting on her new role, Helen said “I’ve always wanted to work on a sports and fitness magazine, so the opportunity to edit a market-leading title is really exciting. As a brand, 220 Triathlon has already seen amazing success, so I’m looking forward to seeing where we can take it next.”
Andy Healy, Publishing Director of 220 Triathlon, said “Helen’s work on Perfect Wedding has been immense: to take the magazine to where it is today is a huge achievement and testament to the dedication and vision Helen has brought to the brand since 2007. I’m delighted she is now taking up the helm of 220 Triathlon as we look to build the title into a global brand across all platforms.”
Helen will take up the role of Editor of 220 Triathlon on 24 June 2013, and can be contacted via helen.webster[at]immediate.co.uk; t: +44 (0)1179 338050.
