Competitor Group Inc (CGI), a leading active lifestyle sports media and event entertainment company, has announced Johnson & Johnson as the title sponsor of the TriRock Philadelphia Triathlon, which will take place on 22 and 23 June.
Formerly known as the Philly Tri, the 9th annual TriRock Philadelphia will feature a Sprint distance race at 7:30 am on Saturday, 22 June and an Olympic distance race at 6:30 am on Sunday, 23 June. Both events take place in Fairmount Park.

The courses will travel through some of the most historic and picturesque sections of Philadelphia, with the start/finish area and transition area located just off of Martin Luther King Drive, near the base of Black Road.
Since its inception, the triathlon has helped The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia raise more than $400,000 for pediatric cancer research. These funds have been vital to supporting scientific discovery that then goes on to achieve great treatment advances like that of T Cell Therapy, which represents a new approach within cancer treatment.
Created by the organizers of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series, the TriRock Triathlon Series presented by REI features a rocking competition, complete with live bands along the swim, bike and run courses, followed by a post-race party and concert. Like all TriRock events, Philadelphia participants will be treated to finisher’s medal, technical t-shirt, red carpet finish, post-race breakfast and beer garden. Event weekend kicks off with a free two-day Health & Fitness Expo on Friday, 21 June where all participants pick up their race number.
