TCR Shows has today announced that The Triathlon Show North will now take place on 17-18 May 2014, not 2013 as previously planned. This will be the first ever Triathlon Show North, which will be held at Bolton Arena in the north west of England.
The Triathlon Show North is the newest addition to TCR Show’s successful events, which includes The Running Show, Road Cycling Show and until March this year, The Triathlon Show at Sandown Park.
(In early March it was confirmed that Immediate Media Co, the company behind leading UK triathlon magazine 220 Triathlon, had acquired The Triathlon Show from TCR Shows for an undisclosed sum.)
The Triathlon Show North will be based on the successful formula of the Triathlon Show held annually at Sandown Park, which in future years will be run by Immediate Media.
The northern show was intended to launch in May 2013, however, to give both visitors and exhibitors the best show experience, TCR Shows has moved this date to 2014.
Under the ownership and management of TCR Shows, the new Triathlon Show North is intended to become a must-attend event for all triathletes – bringing together the best triathlon brands, experts and professionals under one roof in the Bolton Arena.
Designed to help triathletes of all abilities, from the beginner sprint distance triathlete to pros and long course triathletes, the new expo in the north west will be a feature-rich show with lots of training, racing, nutrition and kit advice. Triathletes will be able to learn how to train effectively, choose the right nutrition and kit and avoid injury.
Top coaches and athletes will be available for one-to-ones and will be providing useful, insightful seminar sessions. With over 100 brands expected to be represented, the exhibition will include the latest products available to the triathlete, with show offers and promotions.
Every year the Triathlon Show at Sandown Park attracts top sporting names. Previous visitors include Chrissie Wellington, the Brownlee brothers, Rebecca Romero, Tim Don, Chris Boardman, Ben Swift, Daley Thompson and Helen Jenkins.
Show-goers at the Triathlon Show North will have an equal chance to gain first-hand advice and insight into what it takes to reach the top of the tri game.
