Seen2Help is headline sponsor of 2013 Snowdonia Slateman

Always Aim High Events has confirmed outsourcing specialist firm Seen2Help as its official headline sponsor for the 2013 Snowdonia Slateman triathlon, which takes place in less than three weeks on 19 May.

Seen2Help is an outsourcing company that promotes the often untapped talents of the UK military community to business owners. Other event partners at the Slateman triathlon in Wales include ‘the world’s largest online bike store’ Chain Reaction Cycles, wetsuit and swim specialist Aqua Sphere, sports nutrition brand Kinetica and outdoor specialist Salomon.

Entries to the 2013 edition of the iconic Slateman trail triathlon event reached capacity of 1000 participants almost 5 months prior to the event which takes place in Llanberis, North Wales. The 2012 triathlon will live long in the memory of local people, and visitors alike, with over 700 competitors and hugely popular terrestrial TV coverage for what is fast becoming one of Wales’ premier triathlons.

Always Aim High Events Director Tim Lloyd said “Seen2Help is a great organisation who have very similar values to us at Always Aim High Events. Supporting communities and our customers is paramount for us both, and together I am confident that this is a partnership that can grow long into the future.”

He added, “It is a real pleasure for us to welcome Seen2Help as our headline partner at the Slateman 2013, and a privilege to have such a close association with them.”

Seen2Help aims to offer flexible working opportunities to its employees, recognising the challenges faced by partners and spouses of Armed Forces personnel and the barriers that too often stand in the way of employment. This is not least down to regular postings overseas, childcare restrictions and limited employment opportunities within military areas.

The not-for-profit organization also aims to support the transition from military to civilian life, offering advice and recognising transferrable skills that increase opportunities for service leavers who may be daunted about seeking employment.

Seen2Help Managing Director, Rachel Robertson “With a shared passion for social enterprise, I believe Seen2Help and Always Aim High Events can enjoy an exciting and dynamic partnership. We both make the most of the natural resources available to us, whether it be untapped talent within the military community, or some of the most breath-taking scenery in the country.”

She continued, “There are other similarities between our respective organisations; uncovering skills and determination our users never realised they had – though usually at Seen2Help there’s no mud, sweat and tears involved! But the end result is always the same – an immense sense of personal achievement.

“This new relationship between Seen2Help and Always Aim High is one which will allow us to share our knowledge and expertise to the benefit of both our business communities and we look forward to working with the Always Aim High team in making this happen.”
