Selle Anatomica is ready to open up distribution of its American-made patented-slot leather saddles to the rest of the world. Developed in California, built in Wisconsin and ‘proven all over the globe’, the unique design has many satisfied customers with Selle Anatomica billed as ‘the World’s Most Comfortable Bicycle Saddle.’
The Selle Anatomica saddle was designed for the ultra-distance cyclist, and has found success with commuters, as well as the casual cyclist, who have experienced dissatisfaction with standard saddle designs.
“While there are plenty of copycat saddles with cut-outs in them, our patented slot is physiologically unique in that it allows each side of the pelvis to move independently” said Ryan Hosmer, Head of Marketing for Selle Anatomica.
“The result is a saddle that doesn’t cause saddle sores or perineal pressure because your sit bones can move independently – the biggest problem facing every other saddle on the market.”
All Selle Anatomica saddles are made in Wisconsin and feature top quality leather, laminates, rivets and undercarriages.

Selle Anatomica was founded in 2007 by ultra-cyclist Tom Milton after years of studying and testing nearly every saddle on the market. He found that saddle pressure on the sit bones while pedalling could be eliminated by cutting a unique slot in the saddle centre that allowed each side of the body to move independently, while still providing support.
He patented the cut-out shape and created Selle Anatomica ‘to provide unheard of comfort to cyclists across the globe.’ Tom sadly passed away while cycling in 2010 and the company is now family owned and operated.
