Organised by UK multisport event management company, Raceways Events, The Avenger is the latest middle distance triathlon to hit the UK. This new addition to the triathlon calendar is set in the stunning grounds of Ragley Hall right in the heart of England, and takes place on quiet roads and paths.
The event takes place on Sunday 23 June 2013. For either a first time middle distance eventer or a seasoned triathlete wanting to race in a stunning setting, the Avenger offers something for everyone.
The undulating bike route is part of the National Road Race Championship cycling course; the swim is in Ragley Hall Lake, which is already used by triathletes for open water swimming; and the run route takes place in the Hall’s scenic grounds, mainly off-road.
Priced at £99, the organisers note that the event offers ‘great value for money’. More importantly, all the profits from the Avenger go to the organiser’s charity – Kids Run Free.
Raceways Events set up Kids Run Free to get more children active and passionate about sport. Every weekend there are hundreds of children running at Kids Run Free events across the Midlands.
