Trek takes custom bicycles global with new Project One Experience

Trek Bicycle is unveiling the Project One Mobile Experience at the 2013 Sea Otter Classic – North America’s largest cycling festival – as an all-new component to its custom bike program. The bike brand’s custom experience is making its début at one of the premiere cycling events in the US before traversing North America throughout 2013.

The Project One Mobile Experience will appear at the continent’s biggest cycling events and, according to Trek, it will offer a completely unique way to create a one-of-kind bicycle. The new experience will be completely interactive and will highlight the millions of combinations available to riders around the world through Project One.

From black-on-black, to neon pink flames, to the custom paint schemes of the world’s most exciting road racing athletes, the Project One Mobile Experience brings the online customization process to the real world.

Visitors to the Project One Mobile Experience will have access to the expert advice of Trek’s Project One team to help them design their dream bike, before sending their design to any Trek Project One retailer in the world. Project One allows cyclists to customize the Trek Madone, Domane, or Speed Concept frames – with graphics, components and finishing kit to meet their specific riding style and fit needs.

Designed at Trek’s Waterloo, Wisconsin, headquarters and constructed in Union Grove, Wisconsin, the Project One Mobile Experience is currently finalizing its 2013 calendar and has been loaded with freshly customized bikes and swag in preparation of its debut at Sea Otter.
