Tri-California and Sierra Nevada raise a glass in new partnership

Sierra Nevada Brewing will be the official beer sponsor for this year’s Wildflower Triathlons Festival, produced by Tri-California Events and held on 3-5 May at Lake San Antonio in Bradley, California. The sponsorship deal will provide the tri festival’s attendees with some of America’s finest craft brews.

The partnership between Tri-California and Sierra Nevada does not just mean that the 32-year-old brewery will have its ales and lagers on hand throughout the weekend. Sierra Nevada will also have an exposition booth dedicated to sharing its innovative sustainability initiatives with festival goers.

Let it shine
The Chico, California, brewery is home to one of the largest privately owned solar installations in the US for on-site energy generation. Sierra Nevada also promotes recycling with a comprehensive waste diversion program, as well as a composting system that fertilizes the company’s two-acre garden.

Sierra Nevada expressed its enthusiasm for this partnership with Tri-California and the famous Wildflower Triathlons Festival…

“The Wildflower Triathlon is a premier tri event with some of the tougher courses out there,” said Rob DeKeyrel, Sierra Nevada’s National Events Manager. “We’re honoured to partner with Tri-California at this stunning venue and cheer on the amazing athletes who push their limits here.”

Wildflower has often been referred to as the ‘Woodstock of Triathlons’, not only boasting one of the most challenging, scenic, and popular triathlon venues in the world for triathletes, but also putting a large emphasis on the fun and highly social atmosphere for spectators.

“We’re excited to have Sierra Nevada represented at Wildflower,” said Colleen Bousman, President of Tri-California Events. “Serving their exceptional craft brews will help ensure that Wildflower will continue its tradition of being a can’t-miss event for triathlon participants and spectators.”
