USA Triathlon (USAT) has confirmed three further supplier-level sponsorship agreements with endurance sports industry players NormaTec, Selle Italia and Siliconcoach. The national governing body notes that the partnerships will directly benefit USAT members and programs alike.
These latest confirmed sponsor alliances follow hot on the heels of recently announced sponsor deals with Raceday Transport, SelfGrip and Virtual Race Bags, and with ROLA bike carriers and SweatVac Performance Wear.
NormaTec
A medical and technology company that created a device to help treat circulation-related disorders, NormaTec plays a key role in athlete recovery. The NormaTec MVP (Most Valuable Pump) Sports Medicine Technology mimics normal physiology with its patented Sequential Pulse pneumatic waveform to get athletes back into play quickly.
NormaTec will provide its NormaTec MVP systems to the USA Triathlon National Team program and will make its systems available for use at the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships throughout 2013. Additionally, NormaTec will sponsor the Recovery Zone at All USA Triathlon-owned national championship events.
Selle Italia
Named the Official Bike Saddle Supplier of USA Triathlon throughout 2013, Selle Italia is a manufacturer of Italian bicycle saddles ‘whose sole aim is to provide maximum performance and comfort.’ In addition to providing the USA Triathlon National Team Program with an annual allotment of bike saddles, Selle Italia offers a discount to USAT certified coaches and elite athletes.
Siliconcoach
Siliconcoach video analysis software is utilized by a number of the world’s top footwear companies, national academies and institutes of sport. The Siliconcoach software has also been adopted within classrooms, giving instructors the ability to visually convey the principles of movement, biomechanics and functional anatomy.
As noted by USAT, Siliconcoach has proven to be a dynamic tool that ultimately leads to a greater understanding for coach and athlete. Siliconcoach will provide the USAT National Team a number of software programs for use on an annual basis. Additionally, USA Triathlon certified coaches are eligible to receive a 15% discount on the Siliconcoach software system. This discount program will give age group athletes access to the same video analysis software used by some of the US nation’s top triathletes.
