The Vachery Triathlon Festival, taking place on 20-21 July, has welcomed on-board GU Energy as the official energy gel supplier to the Surrey-based triathlon extravaganza.
The energy and gel brand will be supplying over 6,500 gels for the 1,500 expected athletes as they race through a private spring-fed lake and an ‘area of outstanding beauty’ on closed roads. GU Energy will also be joining the likes of 2XU, Newton Running and local produce suppliers at the festival’s triathlon exhibition and will also be giving away goodies throughout the weekend.

The Vachery Triathlon offers racers a ‘big event feel’ in a stunning location and will welcome 1,500 triathletes over the course of the weekend in July. As well as the Middle distance race, there is also an Olympic distance event on the same weekend for those who would rather race fast and furious. Relay options are also available.
The event promises to offer something for everyone, with on-site camping within the Vachery Estate, an exhibitor’s area featuring the latest in triathlon gear and produce from local suppliers, plus fun activities for all the family who will enjoy the great atmosphere and countryside whilst athletes are out racing.
The organisers are also happy to talk to clubs about arranging special start waves for them to facilitate club championships.
The Vachery Triathlon Festival is located just outside the picturesque village of Cranleigh in the Surrey Hills, only minutes from London and the motorways, M25, M23 and M3.
Official training advice from the race team is to prepare for nutrition consumption on course by practicing using the correct nutrition beforehand. GU Energy gels will be given out on the course so athletes are advised to get prepared and train with what they will use in the race.
