Wattie Ink has confirmed an exclusive partnership with pro triathlete Logan Franks. As the endurance sport marketing agency points out, ‘Long story short, Logan is an absolute rockstar in life so adding him to the Wattie Ink team was a no-brainer.’
“We are completely stoked to have signed East Coast baller & pro triathlete Logan Franks to Rock The W this season,” said Sean Watkins, owner and CEO of Wattie Ink. “Logan is not only an amazing athlete and brand ambassador, he successfully defended our country in Iraq in 2009 where he served as a turret gunner for the US Marine Corps. He is an awesome guy and I could not be more excited and proud to have him as part of the Wattie Ink family.”
Logan Franks added, “I’m proud to announce that I will be rocking the W this season as I join forces with Wattie Ink! Wattie Ink will be designing my 2013 training and race gear and will also be my primary sponsor for casual wear. Sean Watkins, owner and founder of Wattie Ink, has done some amazing things for this sport and he’s done it in a very short time.”
Franks continued, “I like his style; it brings attitude to the table. The Wattie Ink team is a collection of tremendous people with tremendous ability within the sport and I’m truly honoured to be part of the Wattie Ink family.”
After serving a tour of duty in Iraq for the US Marine Corps, Franks became interested in triathlon. Entering his first triathlon in 2010 at Ironman Lake Placid, he finished 11th overall and qualified for the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. He went on to a strong finish there including the fastest marathon split among Americans of the day, ‘and thus his rockstar-status in the sport of triathlon began.’
Logan will be rocking a custom Wattie Ink race kit as well as casual wear, accompanying some killer tats this season!
