ZapEvent has announced that it has streamlined its online event registration process by offering USA Triathlon (USAT) membership verification in real time. This new technology allows athletes who are registering for sanctioned USAT events to more easily purchase a USA Triathlon annual membership or one-day licence.
This can therefore eliminate the need to carry cash or a USA Triathlon membership card to pre-race packet pick-up.
The newly launched system aims to simplify event registration for all parties — the athlete, the race director, the registration engine and USA Triathlon.

The new technology platform is the result of months of planning and execution by USA Triathlon’s information technology and membership departments, who worked alongside each event registration engine to develop a template that best fits each company.
If not already registered as an annual member of USA Triathlon, athletes can purchase a US$45 one-year annual membership through USATriathlon.org.
