Aiming to double up: Challenge Forte Village 2015 entries open today

After the success of Challenge Forte Village Sardinia’s first edition in October 2014, which was attended by over 800 athletes from 38 nations, the Challenge Forte Village organizing team are aiming to double the field at next year’s event on 25 October 2015 – with registrations to race on this spectacular Italian island opening today, Wednesday 26 November.

Andrea Mentasti, Challenge Forte Village Sardinia Race Director, said, “For the next edition we are already working on some minor changes, to make the experience for all our athletes even more enjoyable. There will be some news about the bike section, but without changing the spectacular route that remains one of the most beautiful in the world for this sport.”

The second edition of Challenge Forte Village Sardinia will aim to become a must for all triathlon lovers: ‘a breath-taking route in an unspoilt nature and of rare beauty, a flawless organization, a chance to celebrate the closure of the season.’

Early bird rates start now until 31 December, at a rate of €185 for the Half Distance at www.fortevillagetriathlon.com.

The event, which already saw in 2014 the participation of professional athletes such as Domenico Passuello, Ritchie Nicholls, Eimear Mullan, Martina Dogana, has the ambition to become in 2015 ‘one of the greatest international triathlon events’, billed as an unmissable sporting event for all triathlon lovers!

In addition, the 2015 edition will present another important attraction for all participating Italian nationals: the event will be also included in the FITRI Calendar as a Triathlon Medio, ranked race.

The event on 25 October 2015 will be the conclusion of a week dedicated to triathlon: from a clinic with national and international athletes, seminars dedicated to health and nutrition, to events for children and families.

The aim is also to show to an increasingly international audience the beauties of the south of Sardinia and to stretch the summer season even further. In addition, for the local villages and government involved, this local support has been fundamental in organizing such a high quality event.
