US triathlon retailer all3sports.com has signed on to be the title sponsor for Zone 5 Events races in 2014. Two of the signature races on the Zone 5 Events calendar are the Mountain Madness Half Iron, billed as one of the US nation’s hardest triathlons, and Tri the Vineyard at Chateau Elan.
“We are excited about partnering with all3sports as they understand our vision of providing challenging events for athletes of all abilities,” said Chris Green – a Partner with Zone 5 Events, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
“As fellow triathletes, we believe there is a great void of events that allow athletes to push themselves further than what appears to be the industry standard of flat and fast. Our races attract a unique and loyal athlete. In turn we like to provide those athletes with exposure to companies that put their performance and growth above all else.”
Chris continued, “All3sports strives to help athletes of all levels, from newbies to professionals. To have such a great company and industry leader located in our backyard makes this a perfect fit.”
The Mountain Madness Half Iron has a cult-like following due to a ‘leg shattering course’. The bike course has a 6 mile CAT 1 climb to the bike turnaround. A King and Queen of the Mountain Polka-Dot Jersey is awarded to the fastest male and female to make the ascent.
The Tri the Vineyard race is at the world class Chateau Elan Resort and Vineyard. Participants are treated to a run through the vineyard and adjacent estate home properties.
Founded in April 2002, all3sports.com opened its retail doors as both an internet-based ecommerce retail business and a destination retail store in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2008, current President and Owner, Morgan Clark, bought all3sports from its founder, becoming the ‘first female President to own and operate a triathlon store in the country.’
An avid triathlete herself, Clark directs a core team who possess extensive product knowledge of triathlon gear, as well as substantial user expertise.
